Rob and his team at Topdog have given all my Giant Schnauzers a fabulous foundation in obedience and general socialisation. More recently they have helped with my 2 year old who had some behavioural issues. I can't believe the change in her in a few short weeks. Thank you.
Having just completed the puppy foundation classes, we are very much looking forward to continuing onwards and upwards with Topdog Training! Great training, variety of methods, lovely people, lots of fun and the dogs love it!
"Chewie is now a well-controlled, happy dog, succeeding in obedience and agility training" - Louise & Andy
After 3 years of struggling with our lovable but extremely challenging flat coated retriever, Chewie, and attending various training centres, we found Topdog. Following one visit from Rob and thanks to his practical approach, things changed and we've never looked back.
Chewie is now a well controlled happy dog succeeding in obedience and agility training. We're still with Topdog almost two years on and have even braved getting a second dog, Munch!

I just wanted to say that on the whole Romeo is such a good dog, which is thanks to you and your classes. His obedience at home and on walks is so improved. He can walk to heel for over 2 miles with occasional lapses to sniff about and can sit stay for up to 15 minutes! On local lanes off lead, he keeps to left and if a car comes, he puts himself on grass verge, sometimes even without my telling him and I am working on improving this.
You are doing a great job Rob - without you we certainly would not be where we are now.
"This is the first place where I have truly learned to understand how to work and play with my dog" - Linda
I think it's just great! Brilliant training methods. Wide variety of activities, indoors and out. Lovely friendly people. And best of all... loads of fun for the dogs and owners. I have tried various training schools over the years and this is the first place where I have truly learned to understand how to work and play with my dog.
Dear Rob and Kerry,
It has been a year now since I first introduced you to my yellow Labrador Jake. He was 14 months old with a serious dose of attitude. I had very little control over him, and certainly no connection with him. Living with Jake and taking him out for walks was bordering on a nightmare, and I was quite literally at the end of my tether.
After that first meeting I don't think any of us quite knew where the future would lead. The only sure thing was that it could not possibly get any worse.
Unsuitable for classes, we embarked on frequent one-to-one lessons with Rob over the course of the winter. Progress was immediate, and a small chink of light appeared at the end of the tunnel. By the beginning of March, Jake was ready for obedience class, a few weeks after that and we were doing agility. Here was something that we both loved doing. It is great fun, and Jake is pretty good at it, and we work well together.
A year on and what a transformation. Jake is now a real pleasure to live with and take out for walks. I sometimes have to pinch myself to believe how different he now is compared to 12 months ago.
I really cannot thank you enough for all your help and support over the last year. I would never have been able to do it without you, and I am eternally grateful.
Jake is still very much a work in progress, but I know with your help the future now looks very bright indeed.
